Dr Matthias Brockhaus has been working as a lawyer since 2005, initially in Berlin, then at the law firm Wessing II Verjans and later at VBB Rechtsanwälte. He has been a partner in the firm since 2013. He advises and defends individuals and companies in all areas of commercial and tax criminal law. He specialises in asset, corruption and capital market criminal law. However, doctors, pharmacists, private and municipal clinics as well as companies from the pharmaceutical industry also rely on his special expertise in medical and medical criminal law.
Dr Brockhaus also coordinates and defends clients in so-called "scope proceedings". Dr Brockhaus supports medium-sized and municipal companies in the area of preventive criminal law advice and in the establishment and expansion of efficient internal compliance management structures.
According to the specialist magazine Juve, Dr Brockhaus is regularly recommended by other lawyers and clients. The specialist and business press has regarded Dr Brockhaus as a leading lawyer in white-collar criminal law for many years.
